About the Collaboration
Caltech and the National Central University in Taiwan have teamed up for an international energy research collaboration. The collaboration teams faculty from universities in Taiwan with their counterparts at Caltech to investigate projects in six key sustainable energy technology areas: Fuel cells, solar PV, thermelectrics, CO2 sequestration/porous media, biofuels and smart grid.
Supported by the National Science and Technology Program for Energy, the collaborations provide a unique opportunity for scientists from both nations to learn from each other while developing critical technologies. The collaborations begin January 2012 and will continue until December 2014.
