Being the Change: Can we learn from nature before it is too late?
Eugene Tssui, Dr.,
According to researchers around the world, the behavior of humanity is destroying the planet, and our time is running out. Is it possible to change our attitudes, behaviors and values to re-invent and restore the planet? How can this be done and what does this change look like? International architect, author and professor, Eugene Tssui, presents his work in four quick segments; 1) The Ecological State of our Planet, 2) The Design Principles of Nature, 3) Our Behavioral Change, 4) The New Language of Architecture to Restore the Future. How can we re-design ourselves and our built environment to meet the challenges of our times? Students interested in meeting Dr. Tssui on Thursday or Friday can email kluxem@caltech.edu to arrange a time. Funded by the Moore-Hufstelder Fund and Associated Students of Caltech (ASCIT). The views expressed by the speaker are solely those of the speaker. Presentations do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the California Institute of Technology or Caltech Engineers for a Sustainable World and should not be taken as an endorsement by these groups.
