Cross-Resnick First Year Fellow 2025
Richard is a PhD student in Computing and Mathematical Sciences, originally from the Greater Boston area. He did his Bachelors at MIT, where he completed a double major in Civil Engineering and Math. At MIT, Richard performed research on resilient, equitable, and sustainable electric grid systems utilizing tools from data visualization, economics, and optimization modeling. Richard is looking forward to continue engagement in designing sustainable systems at Caltech, helping to realize the clean energy transition while improving grid resilience, environmental equity, and income equity. Richard is also a recipient of the NSF Graduate Fellowship. In his free time, Richard enjoys playing basketball, singing, clarinet, and birdwatching.
