Akira's research focus in the Greer group was on new photovoltaic devices using micro- and nanolattices fabricated by the Nanoscribe 3D printer. He graduated from Tohoku University, Japan, in 2009 (BEng) and recieved his PhD from MIT in 2016 from the departments of materials science and engineering. During his studies, he completed an internship at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.
Akira is an assistant professor at Tohoku University.
