Olivia Alcabes

Cross-Resnick First Year Fellow 2023

Olivia is a PhD student in Environmental Science and Engineering. She earned her undergraduate degree in Physics from the University of Chicago in 2021 and graduated with honors. She has worked in astrophysics, exoplanets, carbon capture, and environmental regulation research contexts. Her interests lie at the intersection of climate science, AI, sustainability, and environmental policy. At Caltech, she aims to combine new technologies with scientific approaches to further humanity's understanding of the Earth system in ways that are impactful for future climate change adaptation and mitigation.
